SHARING SESSIONS & DEMONSTRATION OF ARTIFACT CONSERVATION

On 3rd of March, representative from Sungai Lembing Museum come to PMKu to give information about Museum Sungai Lembing and sharing session of artifact conservation. This sharing session was held in TECC room and get participation from diploma students in tourism management semester 4 for subject Visitor Interpretation Services. The representative share the history of Sungai lembing Museum. Besides that, the method they use for this sharing session is two ways communication to attract the student attention and passion.

History of Sungai Lembing Museum

The main objective to build this museum is to recall the history of tin mining of Sungai Lembing and the people who are involved in it for the current and future generations.
It is also built to preserve and gather the national information about the museum so that to maintain the history, culture including artifacts, monuments and other remains in Sungai Lembing.It also attracts visitors who love history of heritage, the country, and for them to gain some knowledge.Museum is built to spread information to researchers and history lovers and intensify efforts towards the historical documentation associated with it.

Collections at Sungai Lembing Museum


Sungai Lembing Museum exhibits a collection of the original mining used for the subterranean tin mining in Sungai Lembing. It is very amazing to know that Sungai Lembing was once played a pivotal role in the contribution towards economy and tin mining.

The wooden moulds used for making spare parts for the machines that operated in the factories is the one of the interesting pieces. There is also a kiew wheel and a winch, which are used as a part of the equipment to raise or lower mining workers, goods, wood, or iron in the tunnel, as well as for hauling the ore. The collections in the museum are arranged in order. They are kept very clean and the information gathered that are very useful to everyone.

JOM CANTING BATIK!

#HOTOURWEEK2020 One of the event that conducted by DUP4 2020 on 17th March 2020 for Hotour Week 2020. After we get this task, first thing  first is we build organization to make sure this event going smoothly on that day. This event was lead by Muhammad Firdaus Fadzil as the program director, and I was assigned as Multimedia team with two other members are Ahmad Arif Firdaus Bin Mohd Rus and Putri Rabiatuladawiyyah Binti Zainal. As a multimedia team, we had to create poster of this event to attract student to join.Other than that, we go and deal with En. Madya from ICT to borrow set of speaker and mic for the event. HOW TO DESIGN YOUR OWN POSTER 1.Select your poster size There are A1,A2,A3,A4,A5,A6,A7 and A0 size of poster. After you had choose the size covert it inti inches. 2. Open Power Point Slide Select design and click slide size, insert your poster size in inches into the box. 3. Choose your background color Click design and choose format background You can also use image from google and make sure the image don't have watermark. 4. Insert image If your image has background, use can use Power point tools to remove background. Double click the image to remove background. 5. Font design To use different font, you can search Font meme or Cool text on google. "SIMPLE IS BETTER" use this tip when you design your poster.
